Regulations for the Program of Mandarin
Article 1:
These regulations are established in accordance with Article 3 of the "Guidelines for Program Establishment at National Taiwan Ocean University" to enhance the Mandarin communication and expression skills of international students at NTOU, promote the application of Mandarin in their professional fields, and strengthen their career competitiveness.
Article 2:
All international students (including overseas Chinese students, excluding students from Hong Kong, Macau, and China) at the university may enroll in the Mandarin Language Credit Program (hereinafter referred to as "the Program") without prior application.
Article 3:
The Program establishes a "Mandarin Program Committee," with the guidelines for its establishment to be stipulated separately.
Article 4:
Students who complete the required courses and credits for the Program may apply to the university for a certificate of completion for the credit program.
Article 5:
A minimum of 20 credits must be completed to qualify for the issuance of the certificate of completion for the Program. A maximum of six credits from courses taken at other institutions may be transferred and counted toward the Program.
Article 6:
Matters not covered in these regulations shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the NTOU.
Article 7:
These regulations shall take effect upon approval by the Curriculum Committee of Mandarin Learning and Education Center, the College Curriculum Committee, the University Curriculum Committee, and the Academic Affairs Meeting. The same procedure shall apply to any amendments.
