General Tasks

  • Handle tasks related to the Higher Education Sprout Project for the Mandarin Learning Center.
  • Manage the budget planning, reimbursement, official document processing, and meeting minutes for the Mandarin Learning Center.
  • Oversee procurement, maintenance, and management of office and classroom equipment, as well as the borrowing system for books and CDs.
  • Provide guidance and supervision for the international volunteer team.
  • Complete reporting for the Ministry of Education Mandarin Performance System and apply for performance-based incentives.
  • Assist with data compilation and report writing for project outcomes under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Coordinate faculty recruitment, promotion, and evaluation matters for the Mandarin Learning Center.
  • Manage and maintain the Mandarin Learning Center’s website and social media fan page.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Administrative Tasks for Degree Students

  • Handle administrative tasks for Mandarin courses, including course offering, enrollment and add/drop procedures for on-campus courses, as well as placement tests and credit transfer applications for international students.
  • Manage Mandarin courses under the Higher Education Sprout Project for international degree students at NTOU, including credit-bearing semester courses and supplementary tutoring courses.

Administrative Tasks for Non-Degree Students

  • Manage Mandarin language program administration, including scheduling of non-credit courses, student consultation, seasonal programs, Mandarin preparatory/bridging courses, and recruitment & promotion activities.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and evaluation of non-credit Mandarin instructors.
  • Organize courses for non-degree international participants, such as seasonal programs, online courses, one-on-one lessons, and preparatory classes.
  • Provide admissions consultation, course administration, scholarship and visa application support, and academic advising for Mandarin trainees and scholarship students.
  • Handle scholarship disbursement and reimbursement procedures for Mandarin scholarship recipients.
  • Manage student records, transcript production, issuance of program completion/graduation certificates, visa extensions, and ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) applications.
  • Coordinate Mandarin teacher training workshops and curriculum development for teacher training programs.
  • Assist with other tasks assigned by supervisors.
